Love This Style Is Timeless

What a cool article to post!

Love the advice on sunglasses and Christophe de Menil’s stingray necklace is downright badass! Short shorts, tiny crop tops, and bareitall tutus usually run rampant at summer festivals. Doesn’t it sound familiar? There’s typically a lessismore approach and we mean less clothing, whenit gets to festival style. Therefore, style is timeless, these ladies are fearless! Love this! Whenever pulling out all the stops and refusing to, over the weekend in Chicago, Pitchfork attendees took alternative style route. You should take this seriously. Love to see more of her!

How wonderful to come home and link from my email to this slideshow and the wonderful comments. Good to know I’m not alone in refusing to abandon my love for style as I age. It’s so easy to give up style when all we see in the media is girls in their teens and twenties playing at being fashion icons.

This is awesome.

It’s nice to know that you can be fashionable at any age. Get sick tired of always seeing teen and young adults who have no fashion type sense. They all played off the blackish and created a fashionable look that suited them as their own individual. Generally, love this. Blackish is always a great base color, chic and sophisticated, as a staple. Of course, very beautiful women. Really really like that article, have more articles like that.

I know that the women in this story inspire me more than any up and coming model can. My MIL turns 70 this Oct. To live life fully and age beautifully is my goal everyday. Now pay attention please. She’s still got it I can tell you that, as a former model and beauty queen. A well-known fact that is. Bygone youth it’s look can’t be a goal.

Love Mary’s quote.

I love the way de Menilpierces the lens with her gaze. Still not there. It’s an interesting fact that the Sartorialist as well, that the older subjects look straight through the camera. Top feature on R29 to date! On top of that, they’re style is a honest reflection of their experiences and life. Then again, her skin just glows. Oh, Beatrix -you are my newest and most powerful inspiration to continue to apply sunscreen daily. That said, this feature is wonderful, and a huge encouragement to those of us pushing 60, 70, and so on. While liking how you look, and expressing yourself as YOU, not an attempt to conform to some destructive cultural ideal, it seems that style is yourself. One can be stylish at any age. Oh my gosh. Most of us are aware that there is a lot more inspiration to be found in those who have lived through a great deal more than your reader.

They have life lessons to share, opinions that have developed over time, and most importantly a feeling of selfawareness that is almost impossible to obtain as a teenager or ’20something’.

Thank you very much for doing this!

Inspiring! My mother and I checked it out together and enjoyed it very much. Thanks very much for showing that high style is possible at any age, and that it transcends the latest trendy young things. Inspiring!
