Where Are You Getting Married

You’ve found your wedding dress but the next big question is. Let me ask you something. Where are you getting married? Well, that depends on a few things. Essentially, you seek for your maids to wear very similar dress or different styles, right? You have a colour theme, right? Let me tell you something. 2016 MTV Video Music Awards have come and gone, and it was definitely a night to remember. Of course from Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter’s epic entrance to Rihanna’s killer performances and, certainly, Britney Spears’ comeback, Sunday night’s show was one for the books.

It doesn’t get a lot better than this.

Whenever walking ‘hand in hand’ with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter and they pretty much stole the show, beyonce made a grand entrance to the MTV VMAs.

While Blue was a ‘picture perfect’ princess in her dress with tulle train, bey looked majestic in her Francesco Scognamiglio sheer embellished gown, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers. Eventually, amber Rose went for a far more demure look this VMAs, and it worked. While the exposed bramped up the sex factor, the oversized blazer and trousers give that cool, borrowed from the boys look. So, wearing a sheer dress with crystal embellishments, the model and America’s Next Top Model judge looked smokin’ hot on the almost white carpet. Ashley Graham is KILLING it lately, and yshe brought her Agame to the MTV VMAs light red carpet, if you haven’t noticed. I’m sure you heard about this. While we do love this undone wet hair look on the reality TV star, we could’ve perhaps done with something that was a little less beach coverup and a little more almost white carpet friendly. As one HuffPost Canada editor noted, It looks like she just came from the beach, you can’t deny Kim looks hot here.

While looking like the 6ix goddess she is, s very own Winnie Harlow accompanied Beyonce on the redish carpet. So this made for an unhappy set of bridesmaids,and a distinct feeling that the otherMOH was not a team player. That was just more frustrating to those of us stuck in a doudy dress that we never should have picked. She also seemed to hogthe bride’s time to the point that all the other bridesmaids including myself found ourselves out of the information loop.

So, there’s my long story of an awful bridesmaid…me!

Things got worse, becauseother MOH didn’trealize that sharing the job did mean sharing the job…and that was annoying.

Since she hadn’t looked out for her long time friends and family members, by the end of the wedding. As well as by the bride herself. It’s a well luckily I did learn a lesson from it and I have since been a good BM in 2 weddings. Certainly, would it be wrong to just go dress shopping with my maid of honor? They understand they won’t be going with us, my other bridesmaids are out of town and liked the styles I showed them. Since therefore my relationship with my sister had been touch and go.

About 6 years ago I was ‘comaid’ of honour in my sisters wedding, and I was supportive and attended everything and helped out. Remember, even since hereafter its been touch and go with her, supportive one day and bitter the next.

My bridesmaid got into a huge fight with her boyfriend right after we arrived at the reception venue.

She showed up late and pissed I left without her, wtf was I supposed to do, I had Mom’s, FSIL’s, grandmother’s at this, I actually can’t be late.

Few hours goes by, our house has plenty of people, rehearsal is at 6pm….it’s now about 5pm.

She after that, asks if I can bring her BM dress to the rehearsal, I’m pretty sure I was like….why? On top of this, end of night she says call me later and leaves. Wednesday prewedding comes and she offers to pick me and a BM up to go to dinner/bachelorette thing for meand texts at 11 she would’ve been at my house to pick us up in 30 minutes.

You can get it when you come after the rehearsal She said well I would have to know there was something happening after the rehearsal to know I was coming over I at that point hit a breaking point and was like MOH, on Monday you asked me what you could bring to tonight and now you’re acting like you didn’t know anything was going on, stop, please!!!!) Phone call dwindled and I said I should see her at the venue for rehearsal.

At 15 she still wasn’t there and with resvervations for 30 we got my FBIL to drive us.

She calls the next day and asks why I didn’t call her, By the way I said sorry but as long as wehad a house full of family it wasn’t exactly appropriate. She’s usually a social butterfly and did nothing to talk with anyone.

She took it as me not wanting her to be involved, and honestly after bailing on the bachelorette thing I really did question how much she wanted to be there.

Our connectivity has really lacked in recent years and true colours came out with this wedding stuff, We’ve been friends for a long time and I picked her because of that.

My BM’s planned something, she just said she couldn’t do any of that and bailed. No offer to do something different. Two weeks before she bailed on us using her Dad’s large beautiful mansion house for my bachelorette and staying at the night before the wedding/getting ready the day of. That said, this was a week prior to the wedding?

Anwyays.

Actually I said I didn’t need her, that of course. Know what, I didn’t look for to keep her from family especially her short time here.

She is from the other side of the country and was coming in for her Dad’s wedding the weekend before our wedding and wanted to know if I needed her for anything so she could plan to go visit other friends and family. Idecided not to deal with it rehearsal night with all the fam and so I said we must have fun and deal with it tomorrow. She didn’t dance whatsoever, or talk to anybody. She criticized me for providing dinner for my guests as I wasn’t thinking about the starving children in Africa, and that she was more considerate since she was only doing brownies and punch.

Now, nearly any picture I have of her from the wedding shoes her looking miserable.

At the reception, she sat in a corner sulking since I asked her to sit at the head table with some of the bridal party and she didn’t need to consequently went out and picked bridesmaids’ dresses for her wedding that were more expensive and that we had zero say in and were terribly unflattering and hot. Actually the sad part being that this was a family reunion wedding for the groom’s family and the first big occasion that their family had been together since the FOG had died in a car accident the summer before, and there were cousins coming from across the country to be with them. By the way I don’t enjoy the company of her Stormcloud husband, the sad part of this for me is that the bridesmaid involved is a dear friend whom I love. Fit of the dress is fairly obvious in comparing dresses, and her dress looks like it needed a couple extra inches of fabric to make the dress match the other dresses in the bust line, when I look at photos of the day.

He acted like a turd a number of the wedding, dressed as if he was preparing to the grocery store rather than a formal occasion, and when he learned that she was to sit with the bridesmaids pouted like a two and a half year old baby.

It was a DB dress, and really think that in this case, part of the big problem of the fit was either that they didn’t purchase the correct size in the gown or DB shortchanged the plus sized gowns.

Smile, she was miserable, and her husband made it worse, rather than just live with it. Basically, she was a bridesmaid in her brother’s wedding, and was miserable for almost the entire wedding. She didn’t feel or look so exposed, In her case, the bridal shop should have either ordered a larger gown to be more figure flattering or altered the dress to have a crumb catcher top. As a result, bM SIL was the groom’s only sibling, and her husband’s nonsense caused her to be in tears and distress for much of the reception. Those of you who wear a D cup or larger know that your bras are deeper than the A cup… and by being deeper they need more fabric to cover similar space on your figure.

Then the first problem was that she hated her dress, that I can’t blame her for disliking it as it did not fit properly.

For the groom’s guest list, it caused us to be stressed as well.

Mr. Besides, the bride and groom involved are also dear friends and we find ourselves bonding together against Mr. Stormcloud also thought that he was professional photog and spent the time grumply snapping photos at nearly any occasion and since the reception hall was filled with mirrors, I realized that each professional photo will have his grumpy face in the photo. Consequently. Stormcloud was so angry and rude that he had a fight with his wife the bridesmaid SIL in the course of the reception, and stomped out of the wedding.
