STAPLETON, Staten Island A crossdressing bank robber who donned a silver and blackish formal dress, silver high heels, a grey hat and sunglasses to rob a beautiful landmarked bank in downtown Staten Island Monday now is sought by the New York Police Departmentand the FBI.

He’s believed to be approximately5feet 8 inches to 5feet10 inches tall, about 175 pounds, and may have scarring around his mouth. The mandidn’t appear to have any visible tattoos.

Detectives say therobber, described as a man with a medium build and about 5feet 9 inches tall,is very similar personwho robbed multiple Queens and Long Island businessessince April. He is connected 17 robberiesin Suffolk and Nassau counties that include a Carvel, Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway restaurants and Game Stop. The robber has targeted six ‘fast food’ joints, mostly Subway restaurants, throughout Queens. He walked in with a knife in his hand and stole in cash before fleeing.

Anyways, it just blends in with the other mourner’s outfits sitting in darkness pews. It doesn’t make a statement anyway, not only is it understated. My shoulders are covered and the neckline does not allow for even cleavage slightest bit. It’s not o short and it’s not o tight. For an unpolished gal, it’s the most conservative article of clothing I own, which again amazes me that I even bought it primarily.

Sadly, I’ve gotten more wear out of my funeral dress than most of the other LBD’s hanging in my closet.

Turn away and slam the door…. Of course, that’s not the case. Lately it seems I’m either dropping it off to be dry cleaned or I’m pulling off the plastic wrap because I have to wear it again. Over the years my fabric dress has absorbed the tears I’ve shed for those lost when I didn’t have a tissue handy. In that moment the dress serves as a brutal wake up call that I shouldn’t sweat the small stuff My funeral dress serves as a reminder that life is o short and unless my problem are really big, I gotta try to let it go. Then again, when I’m doing best in order to get dressed and I have a fight with myself as I ransack my entire closet in an attempt to find something that looks halfway decent to wear, I stumble upon my funeral dress and take pause. Eventually, memorial Chapel and quietly blended in with sadness blackish sea. Let it go…. Let it go… Let it go…Can’t hold me back anymore…. Let it go…. Today, I sent my funeral dress back to the dry cleaners because earlier this week I had to wear it once again. This time, my dress soaked up salt stream water that fell from my welled up eyes and down past my chin as I listened to my girlfriend so beautifully eulogize her Mother who was taken from this earth much o soon.

The reality is that I can’t because sooner or later I know I’ll have to wear it again. It’s an inevitable fact.
