Like Sarah My youngest went as a golden ticket, how about taking a slightly more abstract approach. We cut out rectangle shapes from cardboard box and spraypainted them gold, added wording with blackish pen. Basically, we painted his face light yellow with facepaints, then made two holes in the cardboard box for the string to thread through so he could wear the ‘ticket’ like a tabard. Known whenever adding long messy hair, a walking stick and ‘facial hair’ to become Mrs Twit, girlscan utilise their Halloween witch costume to become among the Witches -simply add stick on ‘warts’ -or dress in old, grubby clothes.

All you need is a redish and white top, but if can’t find one, simply use a cheap white t shirt, and colour in with fabric pens/paints. Throw in a pair of blackish shorts, some redish socks and some grey boots or shoes and you’re good to go. You could even use your grey ‘eye pencil’ to paint one some Dennis y style freckles, and use hair gel to get the authentic Dennis ‘do!
