Christmas party wear this day which made me realise that I haven’t given any thought to my own Christmas party either. Besides, when I demonstrates her how sales were going she said that the usual trendhad reversed -gifting and outerwear is down but party wear is again running on lowstock. Likewise, earlier in compare with planned, I’m going to tackle it in 2 posts -one looking at formalwear this day and after that next day focusing on more casual Christmas dressing.

Now whenit gets to dressesI lately reread one of my favourite Grace Kelly quotes which I think applies especially well to evening dressing.

There is my selection ofChristmas party dressesfor girls around 40, with that in mind. On top of that, will you wear them? It is a tricky one. Simply think for a second. For an event like Jane’s, absolutely -but then you had the cost per wear question. Essentially, possibly it is the Northerner in me yet I like the concept that I could still wear a grey tie dress to the theatre or dinner in a quite good hotel whilst not looking overdone. I tend to steer away from long -however -in the event I thought I may be receiving an award that mattered like Jane, this is what I’d wear. Starting with my favourite -pure Bond maid glamour.

This one is alittle less sparkly and more classic -it reminds me of Dynasty and the 80s so you would need to be careful with your hair to avoid looking throwback but then we are heading to a 80s revival. You should as well need to think about temperature -the long sleeves could mean you will end up looking highly rosy cheeked when the room was warm. Whilst we’re on the ‘long’ theme, a lot of most stylish looking ladies at the last event I went to were wearing long or midi skirts with tops. Now this kind of are extremely versatileas you could wear them on Christmas month or for a drinks party with mates. Virtually, they tend to look chic instead of overdressed. Hope fitness which is developed for girls over I’ll talk more about Hope in next week’s post and show you how it looks on me -sadly it maybe won’t be as chic as this but isn’t it big to see brandsusing models just like this.

Now the knee length cocktail dress is usually going to be classic chic and there’re lots around.

As Jane says, you oftenhave toinvest to obtain something that fits actually well and fit and flare can look a bit prom queen or muttony. Unless… you go for midi length. Midi length is looking very well this season. This is my favourite of Boden’s party dresses this year, far more lower key than the dresses above but with no doubt that makes it highly versatile. The neckline is quite flattering and I should addsparkly shoes and a bag for a party.

Shoes canmake or finish with an outfit.

Be careful with standard leather for evening, it can look heavy and ruin the dress. It’s a good minute to go for suede, it is softer which means it works better with light or textured fabrics, in case you are looking for shoes that will work with daywear too. Remember that a nice pair of party shoes is invaluable through December. It feels extravagant in dreary November but in December you’ll search for ourselves usingthem to dress up jeans outfits and I’m planning to wear mine for work in the past day till we complete, just to add a bit of sparkle. Then, the following are the ones that I have got obtained, as you understand.

Ok, I’m going to stop now nonetheless I hope this post has helped. Jane’s in touch with me by email so I’ll let you see what she ultimately is going to wear (oh and to reply back to the question about the lace topped jumpsuit, my gut says ‘no’ -it should be a private doodah yet I think jumpsuits must be kept easy. I do like that one and should wear it for a blackish tie do. In the meantime I hope you’ve all had a proper month. Christmas -I must go to the headquarters on Monday next month but next I’m going to put my foot down and stick to my 3 month day as there’re too a lot of exciting things to blog about.
