Until a completely new Playboy Club opened up these days in Las Vegas, Gaslight Club O’Hare was its mostly one kind to survive. While filming scenes there for Butterfield 8, in 1956, the New York City Club opened in a plush rather old mansion and featured Elizabeth Taylor as a Gaslight Girl, for which she won and Academy Award. Tonight, Gaslight Club definitely is an oddity, cherished by those few who understand about it and enjoyed on layovers. While either location as well as entrées cost scares off most Chicagoans and suburbanites, the Gaslight Club is an oneofakind original and definitely worth a visit. Although, capital!
